Laser Hair Removal
The right laser and the right assessment for lasting results
Laser hair removal is the most effective and permanent way to get rid of unwanted hair. The laser beam targets only the melanin pigment in the hair root, damaging the root without harming surrounding tissue.
Three different systems
Not just one technology: the one suited to your skin
Our salon has three different systems — Alex Laser, Diode Laser and Ice Laser — to achieve the best result for your skin type.
With 25 years of experience, we tell you the most important truth at the outset: it is not scientifically sound to guarantee complete hair removal or give an exact number of laser sessions. Every person has a different hormonal profile, hair cycle and hair type. An average can be given, but a personalised assessment is essential.

Suitability by area
| Area | Our assessment |
|---|---|
| Lower and upper legs | The area with the most successful and lasting results |
| Underarms | The area with the most successful and lasting results |
| Bikini and genital area | The area with the most successful and lasting results |
| Forearm | The area with the most successful and lasting results |
| Upper arms | Risk of increased growth — we do not treat without an assessment |
| Face | Risk of increased growth — we do not treat without an assessment |
| Back | Risk of increased growth — we do not treat without an assessment |
| Between and above the breasts | Risk of increased growth — we do not treat without an assessment |
Very fine, light-coloured hair in some areas can increase or thicken (paradoxical hypertrichosis). If we identify a risk after assessment, we do not recommend treatment and refer you to electrolysis . This is our principle of honesty.
| Area | Our assessment |
|---|---|
| Back and lower back | The area with the best results |
| Chest and abdomen | The area with the best results |
| Underarms | The area with the best results |
| Legs and forearms | The area with the best results |
| Neck and intimate area | The area with the best results |
| Shoulders, nape, upper arms, cheeks | More resistant — more sessions and a risk of increased growth |
Laser hair removal for men is more resistant than for women and requires more sessions; men's hair is deeper, thicker and more hormonally active. We use laser treatment for thick, black hair but do not recommend it for very fine hair because of the risk of increased growth.
Lasting results and number of sessions
Only 20% of hairs are in the active growth phase (anagen) at the same time. Laser targets only hair in this phase. Other hairs need time to enter it. That is why sessions are carried out 6–8 weeks apart, and it is physiologically impossible to finish in a single session.
| Area | Average number of sessions | Interval between sessions | Expected result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Body areas | 6–8 sessions | 6–8 weeks | 70–80% permanent reduction |
| Face | May take longer depending on the person | 4–6 weeks | Varies according to assessment |
| Shoulders and nape of the neck | More sessions | 6–8 weeks | Resistant; results are slow |
| Nape (hairline) | The most resistant area | 6–8 weeks | Results are difficult to achieve |
This can vary from person to person; some people may need more sessions. The number of laser hair removal sessions needed is individual.
Laser hair removal without shaving
We do not recommend shaving
Almost every salon asks you to shave before laser treatment. We do not. Because our treatments work well, hair has not grown long by the next session anyway; as the follicle weakens, it does not return with its former strength between sessions.
That is why you do not need to shave after the second session. Why shave hair that has not grown? Other places ask you to shave before every session because the hair grows back with the same strength.
Our aim is to get the right result, not sell sessions.
Are you suitable for laser hair removal?
To make the best decision, we offer a free initial consultation and hair assessment at our salon. We assess your skin type, hair thickness and hormonally sensitive area, and explain clearly which of the Alex, Diode or Ice Laser technologies suits you best, how many sessions it will take and whether there is a risk of increased growth.
We do not treat any area we consider high risk just to sell a session.
We explain all treatments for women and men on this page; you can review our area-by-area assessments in the tables above.
Frequently asked questions
Is laser hair removal permanent?+
Yes. According to the FDA definition, it is a method of permanent hair reduction. It provides an average permanent reduction of 70–80%. After treatment, a few touch-up sessions a year are enough for any remaining hair. Electrolysis can also be chosen to remove the remaining hair completely.
Do I need to shave?+
We do not recommend shaving; we perform treatments without it. Come as you are, and during the initial consultation we will decide together what you need to consider.
How much does it cost? Single sessions or packages?+
Prices vary by treatment area. You can book single sessions or take advantage of our discounted package prices.
How far apart are sessions?+
Sessions are 4–6 weeks apart for the face and 6–8 weeks apart for body areas. This interval is needed for hair to enter its active phase. Keeping to the intervals is very important for lasting results.
How many sessions does it take? Are results guaranteed?+
There is no such thing as a guarantee that all hair will be removed. On average, hair is reduced by 70–80% in 6–8 sessions, but the number varies from person to person. The number of sessions depends on hair structure, hormones, treatment area and skin type.
Which areas do you advise women against treating?+
There is a risk of increased growth in areas with fine hair, such as the upper arms, face, back and between the breasts. We do not treat without an assessment.
How many sessions does it take for men?+
Men require more sessions. The shoulders, nape, upper arms and cheeks are more resistant, and there is a risk of increased hair growth.
Can it increase fine hair growth?+
Yes, it can. We do not recommend laser for very fine hair; electrolysis is more appropriate.
Does it hurt?+
It feels like a momentary burst of heat. Because we have three different lasers, we can choose the least painful one, Ice Laser.
Is it harmful?+
No, it does not cause cancer. The risk of marks comes only from not protecting yourself from the sun.
Can it be done in summer?+
Yes. Protecting yourself from the sun for one week is enough.
Can it be done on the face?+
The face is a higher-risk area. Coarse hair can be treated; fine hair is not treated because of the risk of increased growth. An assessment is essential.
Why do you have three different lasers?+
Not everyone's skin is the same. During the assessment, we choose the Alex, Diode or Ice Laser best suited to you.
Does all the hair shed after laser treatment, and when?+
No, it does not all shed at once. Laser targets only hair in the active phase, and that hair sheds in 10–15 days. Hair in other phases sheds after subsequent sessions, which is why more sessions are needed.
Will I see a difference after the first session?+
Yes. Thinner, sparser hair is noticeable even after the first session. Because our treatments are successful, hair does not grow back with its former strength; further sessions are needed for the full result. Hair is reduced by around 20–30% after the first session.
Will there be redness after treatment?+
Yes. Slight redness is normal and shows that the laser has targeted the follicle. It usually goes away on its own within 1–2 hours.
What should I consider before treatment?+
Do not wax, tweeze or thread for 15 days before treatment. Avoid sun exposure, sunbeds and exfoliation for the last week. Simply come to your appointment without applying deodorant or cream.
Can burns occur?+
Because we select the device best suited to you during the assessment, the risk of burns with us is almost nonexistent.
Is it a problem if I remove hair between sessions?+
Yes. If you pull hair out from the root between sessions (by waxing, tweezing or threading), the laser cannot target the follicle and the session is wasted. Because our treatments are successful, the hair does not grow long anyway, so you do not need to remove it.
What should I use after treatment?+
We give you a soothing cream selected for you after treatment; you do not need to apply anything else. For the first 24 hours, avoid hot showers, Turkish baths, saunas, exercise, make-up and deodorant.
Can laser hair removal clear ingrown hairs?+
Yes. Laser hair removal is the most effective solution for ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs are caused by shaving and waxing; because laser eliminates the follicle, it eliminates ingrown hairs completely too. In the underarms and bikini area in particular, ingrown hairs improve by 80% in just 2–3 sessions.
